Heck, if it weren't for good folks like you, I'd have been gone a long time ago! ;)

So let's do our best to make things better every chance we get. I just felt the need to get on my soapbox about the whole thing. :P

Each day I become more and more unimpressed with this country. It seems to go downhill continually, and at an ever-increasing rate. Scary.

Anyway, thanks for visiting and taking the time to comment! :)

Shine on,
AaronAaron Cookhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15487831830753964681noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17209363.post-90735877591258033822007-10-09T14:33:00.000-04:002007-10-09T14:33:00.000-04:00I know he likely wasn't paid off, I was just being...I know he likely wasn't paid off, I was just being sarcastic. You don't need to pay people off when you have a gang of lawyers that are better then the people you are up against. Little guy loses out, typical here in the states.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17209363.post-46892604305996868912007-10-09T12:38:00.000-04:002007-10-09T12:38:00.000-04:00@Erina: I know, it's utterly ridiculous. It seems ...@Erina: I know, it's utterly ridiculous. It seems that more and more people hate Wal-Mart every day. And personally, I'm fine with that. I cant' stand the place either. And don't even get me started on how they treat their employees! I know a couple people who had worked there, and they were treated quite awfully.

@Antibarbie: That's a good question, though I doubt he was paid off. It's generally a case of big corporate attorneys being extremely capable of outgunning smaller attorneys. They're just much more experienced and knowledgeable in the field. They know ALL the loopholes and such, whereas, your average attorney doesn't.

Corporate attorneys make it to the top because they're the best at what they do, and they're very well practiced in it. So unless one has the bucks to hire an excellent and successful attorney on their own, there's often little chance of winning. And sadly, the law doesn't always uphold what's right and what's moral.

This was probably an open shut case from the start. Unfortunately, the outcome is not 100% right.

Shine on,
AaronAaron Cookhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15487831830753964681noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17209363.post-72371853748313616622007-10-08T12:50:00.000-04:002007-10-08T12:50:00.000-04:00I wonder how much WalMart had to pay off that judg...I wonder how much WalMart had to pay off that judge for him to tell those people to get off their own property. Things like this amaze me.

This guy lives just south of me. I live in the Cincinnati, Ohio Area. I'm surprised I didn't hear about this.
