But on a sad note, today is also the one-year anniversary of Steve Irwin's untimely death. May we always remember the joy and energy his love of wildlife brought to so many. Few naturalists have had such a strong and wonderful impact on the world as he did. He is certainly missed.
According to BBC News, Irwin's widow Terri and their two children, Bindi and Bob, will spend the first anniversary of his death in private. The family plans to celebrate his life and achievements on "Steve Irwin Day", which will be held on November 15th.
