Listen to the audio commentary!
Welcome to the third batch of Super Link Sunday!
Super Link Sunday is where I give out some well-deserved link love - where I feature some of the more noteworthy posts or blogs I came across during the week.
So with no further ado, here are this week's SLS All-stars:
• John Chow Dot Com - For kindly mentioning me - when he didn't even have to! Yes, John Chow (the Dot Com mogul himself) actually took the time to mention me in his most recent blog post. And for that, I am truly grateful. A million thanks John!
• Your Buzz Marketing - Andrew gives a nice heads up on SocialMarker, a free social bookmarking service (similar to Add This) that's designed to reduce the time and effort it takes to socially bookmark websites.
• American Shelf Life - Amanda Mooney has a neat post that introduced me to Julius Popp, an artist who's designed a truly amazing piece of artwork that shows words from international news feeds - with a mixture of falling water, light and technology. His piece, named Bit.Fall, is astounding - pure fusion of both science and art. You definitely have to see it.
• Bloghound - Hernan is getting some link love this week simply because he has, in the past, taken the time to design some really cool images for Danielle's Pink Internet Marketing blog. From the goodness of his heart he's designed her blog header, her feed icon and the image for her recent blog contest. Well done Hernan!
Leave A Comment - Get Some Link Love
That's right! Leave a comment on this blog and you'll get some link love! As part of Super Link Sunday, I give link love to everyone who leaves a comment on my blog.
This week I was really busy and only managed to publish three posts, but nonetheless, the following bloggers still took the time to share their thoughts with the Aaron Cook Dot Com™ readers. Well done all!
So with much thanks, I'm happy to announce this week's awesome commentators - ranked in order by the number of comments given:
Bobby (7), Valentin (3), Janice (2), Mariuca (2), Mark (2), Mikael (2), Bush (1), Malathy (1), Mike (1), Tish (1)
*If you left a comment here this week and I didn't list you, please let me know!
The Link Love Wild Card
New to Super Link Sunday this week is the Link Love Wild Card. This is where I randomly pick a blog and "hand" out some link love! And since it's totally random, it'll most likely be a blog I've never read before.
But that's a good thing! For, to find a new blog is always quite exciting. Anyway, this week's Link Love Wild Card is:
• Blogging Mix - Blogging Mix is written by John Tayaban. John is currently finishing his Masters in Business Administration at Durham University in the United Kingdom. So make sure to give him a visit and tell him I said hello!
Link Love Loser Award!
Also new to Super Link Sunday this week is the Link Love Loser award. This is a reward I reserve especially for bloggers whom I can't stand, really hate or totally despise - on Opposite Day. This week's Link Love Loser Award goes to:
• Revellian - Revellian is the personal blog of Bobby Revell. So far he's got to be one of the absolute worst bloggers I've ever had the misfortune of discovering. Not only is Bobby extremely selfish as a person, but he's also extremely close-minded and totally intolerant of other people's views - on Opposite Day.
He has a putrid, little blog that should definitely be avoided at all costs - but only on Opposite Day! On every other day Bobby's blog is just plain awesome. It's a place that all bloggers should frequent, most frequently! :P So congrats Bobby! It's a pleasure blogging with you, my friend. You're the best! :)
Wow, that's awesome Aaron! It definitely pays to be aware of those things and to let bloggers know about them when they happen. Well done my friend!
ReplyDeleteTom
Thanks so much Tom! Yes, it was definitely a very nice surprise to come across tonight! :)
ReplyDeleteIt's just a good thing I monitor my Technorati vanity feed almost constantly - otherwise I might have missed seeing it tonight.
Shine on,
Aaron
PS: Thanks again John!
Aaron- thanks for the link love and really interesting link about SocialMarker!
ReplyDeleteI've added you to my blogroll on American Shelf Life:)
Thanks Amanda! I very much appreciate it! :)
ReplyDeleteShine on,
Aaron
Curse that Revellian dude! He makes it look soooo easy to blog while I slave away at my keyboard struggling to find the right keys through my crocodile tears, but that's assuming I can find something to write about! I may not know where you live, but I know people who do. Beware, Mr. Bobby Revell, if that indeed is your name sir! Something wicked comes your way this Halloween. Muahahaha!
ReplyDeleteOn a lighter note, thanks for the link love Aaron.
LOL :D
LOL, you're quite welcome Mark! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd don't be too surprised it you win the award sometime reeeal soon. ;) Your blog has been kicking some major, MAJOR butt lately, for sure!!! :)
Shine on,
Aaron
Hi Aaron,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link love. wonderful post you\'ve got today.
Cheers!
Blogging Mix
You vile, repugnant, stinky little
ReplyDeletepunk. If I didn't like you so much I'd say you are a morbidly grotesque and extremely brash ruffian who makes me quiver in chills of sickening hellishness every time I think of you!
Thanks for the reputation destroying link love!
BTW, if John Chow linked to me, I'd redirect it to the FBI's homepage as I would be embarrassed to be associated with him...LOL!
Hola Aaron, thanks for the link love. I hope u have a great week ahead! :):):)
ReplyDeleteIt seems you linked Bobby on wrong award.
ReplyDeleteMake a new category - something like "places where I never was and never will reach"
:-))
Thanks for the linklove, Aa-Ron.
I`ll remember you ... :-)
Ha ha ha. Opposite day needs to make a comeback. Maybe I'll try that at work... Hope you had a good weekend Aaron!
ReplyDeleteYou couldn't be more right about that Revellian guy! Bush reviewed his site over on BlogsWeLuv just to show the entire world what a horrible blogger the guy really is ;P
ReplyDeleteOmg...thank you very much Aaron. Thanks for stopping by, I`m ashamed `cause I could not update my blog recently, but I work on it, well my blog doesn`t got an special topic, I like to show some thoughts. I thinking to set up another blog about graphics, but I have to wait a little for get a properly hardware stuff. For work with graphics I need more than a one PC. Thanks again, you are part of my blogroll! :)
ReplyDelete@Blogging Mix: You're quite welcome! :)
ReplyDelete@Bobby: That's got to be one of the best comments ever! "Brash ruffian..." LOL, I love it! Maybe I'll have to start giving out awards for the best comments too. I think you and Valentin would walk home with the first trophies. :)
@Mariuca: You're welcome! And I hope you have an awesome week too! :)
Shine on,
Aaron
@Valentin: Ha ha, good one buddy. And of course, you're welcome!
ReplyDelete@Bush: I agree. Maybe we should work on bringing it back! ;) I think it always makes things more interesting.
@Mike: Ha ha, love it. Someone definitely has to warn the public about him. He is nothing but a menace to our Utopian society. :P
@Hernan: You're very welcome, my friend. You deserve it. And I think that's an awesome idea. I'd love to see you do a blog on graphics and such. I'm sure could learn a lot.
And btw, many thanks for adding me to your blogroll. I'll add you to mine as well. ;)
Shine on,
Aaron
When I first began reading what you said about me, my eyes opened so wide, my left one actually popped out of my skull's occipital pocket! It didn't hurt at all and I was able to get it back in with a shoe-horn and a soft rubber mallet.
ReplyDeleteAfter I realized what was up, I cracked up knowing you do have a twisted side in your humor. I thought how wonderful! Now I can say something horrible about you!!!!!LOL
Thanks Aaron, you really took me by surprise:)
LOL. You're welcome Bobby. Just glad you (and everyone else) have a good sense of humor and got a kick out of it. I was actually sweating it a little earlier in the day, hoping that no one missed the joke and got upset.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, you have carte blanche when it comes to saying things about me - good or bad. I sense you'll get your revenge on me sometime in the near future. :P
Shine on,
Aaron
Hahaha...I might take you up on that! You really are one of my favourite bloggers and I wish nothing but great success for you!
ReplyDeleteMy left eye has popped out several times before you wrote this. It has scared off many dates, LOL!!!
I tell them to squeeze it gently as it is very tender...ha ha ha:)
"I tell them to squeeze it gently as it is very tender."
ReplyDeleteEr...oh, nevermind. :)
@Bobby: Guess I'll have to watch my back then. ;) And good luck with your eye. May it find for itself a comfortable position in your socket and remain fixed there indefinitely. :P
ReplyDelete@Mark: LOL. Glad to see I wasn't alone on that one. :P
Thanks for the link love, Aaron! :) Have a wonderful night!
ReplyDeleteYou bet Tish! More than happy to do so! :)
ReplyDeleteHave an awesome weekend!
Shine on,
Aaron
Wow! Back-to-back link love listings! Aaron, my brother, thanks for honoring me again. Should we go for a three-peat?
ReplyDelete:)
You're quite welcome Mikael! :)
ReplyDeleteShine on,
Aaron
Hernan deserves all the props for the great look and feel of my blog. If it were not for his fine graphic art, my blog would be wallowing in ugliness.
ReplyDeleteI am hoping that soon, bloggers will be able to contact him to commission graphics packages like mine... he is so talented and I have no doubt that he could have a successful little side business creating graphics for blogs. People always seem impressed with mine! :)
Hi Danielle.
ReplyDeleteI thoroughly agree with you in that Hernan is very talented. And hopefully he'll be able to capitalize on that. :)
So whaddaya say, Hernan? Need some help promoting? I'm certain that Danielle, myself and some other noteworthy bloggers would be more than happy to sing your praises! :)
Shine on,
Aaron
Your Super Link Love posts are gold Aaron...GOLD!
ReplyDeleteThe Oscar
@Oscar: Wow, I don't know what to say! Thanks for such a wonderful compliment! :)
ReplyDeleteShine on,
Aaron
