Ron Paul on Fox News Sunday - Why Ron Paul Is Winning

Ron Paul News: Ron Paul On Fox News Sunday: Why Ron Paul Is Winning
I'm not gonna write a whole lot here...just watch the video.

But I should note that there are a few things that stand out...

One, being when Chris Wallace (an American journalist and current host of the Fox Network program, Fox News Sunday) brings up some recent presidential election poll results.

"...And in a match up with President Obama, you 're now basically even at 47 percent to 45.

Question: what's going on here? Why are you gaining such traction this year?"

Ron Paul's Response: "Well, because it's a good idea. And it's the American ideal. But, I'm fascinated with your word "unconventional." Isn't it strange that we can apply that term to freedom and liberty and the Constitution and limited government and balanced budget?

You're proposing this "unconventional" idea of government...Well, I think you're right about it...under today's circumstances, it has been unconventional for probably, for about 50 years, but right now the Tea Party movement and the Independents in this country and the people who are caring about our bankruptcy, they, they think that what we've had is unconventional with regards to our Constitution and the principles of liberty.

So yes, people are waking up and they're saying, 'Yeah, Ron Paul's right!' Why are we fighting all these undeclared wars, and why do we have a Federal Reserve that bails out the rich and dumps on the poor, and why is it that deficits don't really matter and politicians just stand around and talk that they're gonna nibble away at a budget deficit that's ten years out.

So no, this is  a very popular philosophy...and it's not my philosophy. It's the philosophy of the Constitution. It's the philosophy of liberty, private property rights, and not dependency on government. That's is the big thing. People are supposed to assume some responsibility for themselves in a free society."

More Questions For Ron Paul

And another, when Chris Wallace asks, "Are you in this to win it, or is it enough for you to just shape the debate?"

Ron Paul's response: "Yes, I'm in it to win it. And you're absolutely right; I do say that I'm more interested in influencing power...Matter of fact, as president I would reduce the power of government. I wouldn't seek it. I would never take the power from the congress. I would not go to war without congressional approval.

So yeah, I resent the power that has, uh, galvanized in the executive branch and the judicial system, and I would want to shrink the size of government. So, that isn't exactly right. That doesn't mean I don't want to win. It means I want a new approach, uh, you know, at least form current standards, for the presidency...

I want to obey the Constitution, and follow its very great restrictions on the government. The Constitution was written to restrict the government, not to restrict the people. Now it's turned around; we use government to restrict the people...in all manners...so I would like to reverse that."

Bottom Line?

Bottom line, if you want an honest guy as president...FOR ONCE...then Ron Paul is the only obvious choice. For real.

Mr. Bean Crashes His McLaren F1 Supercar

Mr. Bean Crashes His McLaren F1 Sports Car

Rowan Atkinson (a.k.a. Mr. Bean) crashed his $1 million McLaren F1 on Thursday, unjuring his shoulder when his car hit a tree and a lamp post on the A605 in Haddon, Cambridgeshire, England. The car then caught on fire.

Rowan Atkinson was able to walk away from the crash all on his own, and was then kept company by a passing motorist until fire and rescue crews arrived. Crews from the Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service brought the fire under control, and Mr. Bean took a trip to the hospital. Thankfully, he was released the next day.

The McLaren F1 is one of the world's fastest cars, with a top speed of 231 mph with its rev limiter on, and 240 mph with its rev limiter removed. Atkinson's McLaren F1 was on of only about 65 in existence worldwide.

But Mr. Bean Really Is A Good Driver!

Actually, he is. For real. He's a well-known car enthusiast and owns vintage and classic cars, including Aston Martins and Rolls Royces. He also recently recorded the fastest lap time on Top Gear's Star in a Reasonably Priced Car. You can see him do it in the video below...

Car Enthusiast and Star of Blackadder, Rowan Atkinson, Breaks Top Gear Fastest Lap Record

In this YouTube clip from the BBC, the Blackadder actor clocks the fastest time time ever on Top Gear. His record-setting lap time was 1 minute and 42.2 seconds. Brilliant!

First Ron Paul Ad Looks Like A Movie Trailer

First Ron Paul Ad Looks Like A Movie Trailer

Congressman Ron Paul debuted his first television ad for the 2012 presidential campaign...and it looks like a movie trailer! And just like a "real" movie trailer, it begins with a notice stating that "the following preview has been approved for all audiences."

IMHO, it's pretty cool for a political ad. Quite different. I just wish there was an excerpt or two from some of his speeches included in it. Personally, I'd like to see more "Ron Paul" in a Ron Paul ad. I think it would add a bit more character to the ad, as well as exemplify his honesty...not to mention, his long history as the one politician who doesn't act like a "politician."

The Ron Paul campaign invested six figures in this, its first television ad buy, according to the campaign's chairman, Jesse Benton. The 65-second spot began airing today in Iowa and New Hampshire, two of the early-voting states.
This is just the latest step in Dr. Ron Paul's increasingly serious 2012 presidential campaign. And you can bet he's darn serious. In terms of his presidential bid, he's all in and focusing 100% on the presidential race. And on Tuesday, he verified this on his Twitter page by tweeting that he will not run for re-election to Congress in 2012.

Bottom line, Ron Paul, the 12-term Republican congressman, is in it all the way. He won't have to worry about running TWO election campaigns this time; he's concentrating solely on the 2012 presidential campaign.

About the Ron Paul Presidential Campaign Ad

The ad spot is definitely timely, attacking the current negotiations regarding the debt ceiling. It highlights his long history of standing up to the "Washington Machine," and his role as the national leader of the strong opposition movement against raising the country's debt ceiling even higher...yet again!

Here's a transcript of the ad:

"In the 80's, they did it to Reagan...a debt ceiling compromise. Democrats promising spending cuts, but delivering only tax hikes. The 90's brought more compromises, more broken promises and more new taxes.

This August, the next chapter will be written. A defining moment...

$14 trillion in debt. Millions unemployed. The dollar in decline. We know where they stand, but will our party's leaders repeat the mistakes of the past? Will they choose compromise...or conviction?

One candidate has always been true. Ron Paul. -Cut spending, balance the budget, no deals. Standing up to the Washington Machine...guided by principal. Restore America now. I'm Ron Paul and I approved this message."

Your Thoughts?

So what do you think about this first Ron Paul ad? Did you like it? Did you not like it? Not sure? Please let us know in the comments section below!

Ron Paul Wins the RLC Straw Poll by a Landslide

Ron Paul Wins the RLC Straw Poll by a Landslide

Dr. Ron Paul, the Republican (and more importantly, Libertarian!) Congressman from Texas, won the Republican Leadership Conference (RLC) straw poll in New Orleans on Saturday. And he won it by a landslide.

Here are the full straw poll results: Ron Paul (612 votes), Jon Huntsman (382 votes), Michele Bachmann (191 votes), Herman Cain (104 votes), Mitt Romney (74 votes), Newt Gingrich (69 votes), Sarah Palin (41 votes), Rick Santorum (30 votes), Tim Pawlenty (18 votes), Gary Johnson (10 votes), Buddy Roemer (9 votes), and Thaddeus McCotter (2 votes).

Straw poll votes by percentage: Ron Paul (39.69%), Jon Huntsman (24.77%), Michele Bachmann (12.39%), Herman Cain (6.74%), Mitt Romney (4.80%), Newt Gingrich (4.47%), Sarah Palin (2.66%), Rick Santorum (1.95%, Tim Pawlenty (1.17%), Gary Johnson (0.65%, Buddy Roemer (0.58%), and Thaddeus McCotter (0.13%).

And for those who prefer to watch as well, here's a YouTube video in which the straw poll results are read off at the conference...

Ron Paul Video - Straw Poll Results

Jon Huntsman came in second place, but that may be due to the his campaign apparently buying tickets for his young backers and bussing in a large group of college students. According to various news reports, Huntsman's campaign people did not deny spending money in order to boost his performance in the straw poll.

You can learn more about Congressman Ron Paul and his 2012 presidential campaign on his website Ron Paul 2012.

George Takei vs. Tennessee's "Don't Say Gay" Bill

YouTube Video: George Takei vs. Tennessee's "Don't Say Gay" Bill

George Takei vs. Tennessee's "Don't Say Gay" Bill

Star Trek's George Takei takes on the Tennessee Legislature and its "Don't Say Gay" bill...in the way only George Takei can!

A bill that is now pending in Tennessee would prohibit teachers in Tennessee from discussing homosexuality in the classroom. The so-called "don't say gay" law is premised on the misguided belief that, by not talking about gay people, they will simply disappear.

Well, George Takei is here to tell the state of Tennessee, as well as all the LGBT youths and teachers who would be affected by this law, that he is here for you...and he is lending his name to the cause. So any time you need to say the word "gay," you can simply say "Takei" instead!

Perhaps this will show the Tennessee legislatures that censorship and bigotry are bogus, and that teaching such censorship and bigotry in the classroom is not only bogus, but un-American. And it will not be tolerated.

Personally, I'm not gay. But I really think this country needs to get out of the dark ages and stop with all the anti-homosexual nonsense. It's really pathetic.

The Charlie Sheen Machete Video

The Charlie Sheen Machete Video

In case you're trying to find the Charlie Sheen machete video...well, here it is!

As you can see in the video, Charlie Sheen holds up a machete and waves it around while he's on the roof of the Live Nation office building, located in Beverly Hills, California.

Apparently, Charlie Sheen's machete-waving antics were for the purpose of letting the world know just how he feels about being fired from CBS hit series "Two and a Half Men."

He also drank something from a bottle that he self-labeled "Tiger Blood." Though, that so-called "Tiger Blood" is really nothing more than some friggin' fruit juice made from the mangosteen fruit, a fruit that is grown primarily in South-East Asia. I guess alcohol was off the list or something.

Basically, his bottle of "Tiger Blood" was nothing more than a bottle of XANGO juice...a juice that is marketed through "network marketing" (also known as MLM or Multi-level Marketing) strategies. And btw, the makers of XANGO juice want NOTHING to do with Charlie Sheen!

A XANGO spokesperson said that the XANGO company had "no commercial arrangement with Charlie Sheen, nor would it consider any formal association with the actor".

Charlie Sheen Suing Warner Brothers

And though Charlie Sheen is suing Warner Brothers and "Two and a Half Men" TV show producer Chuck Lorre for $100 million, when he was asked about how he felt about losing his job, Charlie Sheen paraphrased Martin Luther King Jr., saying, "Free at last, free at last!"

Hmmm. So does he really feel wronged, or is this just a money and publicity grab?! Personally, I thinks it's the latter. Why? Because no one...NO ONE...who truly feels wronged talks about being "free" or "free at last!"

Sheen also told TMZ (in his recent fucknut, total-shit-in-the-brains, winning-but-totally-delusional-and-NOT-winning way) that he was suing Warner Bros. because "They continue to be in breach, like so many whales. It is a big day of gladness at the Sober Valley Lodge because now I can take all of the bazillions..."

OK, whatever, dude. Bottom line, Charlie Sheen has lost it, IMHO. Methinks he's read too many message board posts about trolls and noobies and newfags. I think the Internet (and past drug use) has taken over his brain and created an endless "meme" in his own head that he thinks is winning like over 9000!!1!!!11

Nonetheless, here's the Charlie Sheen Machete Video, which you probably came her for anyway...

Girl Missing Since 1991 Finally Found - Alive!

Girl Missing Since 1991 Finally Found - Alive!

In news that is so very rare in these cases, it seems that a woman, who was kidnapped as a young girl at the age of eleven way back in 1991, has finally been found. And what's best, is that she's actually alive!

Missing Found Alive

The Return of Jaycee Lee Dugard

Jaycee Lee Dugard, who was a blond, ponytailed, 11-year-old girl when she was abducted right in front of her stepfather as she headed to a school bus stop 18 years ago, has finally made her way to freedom, and is soon to be reunited with her parents.

The woman walked into a San Francisco Bay area police station and said she was Jaycee Lee Dugard, the girl who had been kidnapped 18 years ago. And thankfully, it doesn't seem to be just some misguided loony claiming to be the kidnapped girl. According to Lt. Les Lovell of the El Dorado Sheriff's Department, they're actually about 99% sure that it's her.

Her family has been contacted, and they're currently in the process of arranging a meeting. Carl Probyn, Jaycee Lee Dugard's stepfather, said that the news was "like winning a lottery." I'll bet! Wow, can you imagine how happy they must feel right now?! I'm majoryly hyped just knowing about it!

Update: Jaycee Lee Dugard (not Kaycee Lee Dugard, for those who've been misspelling it) was reunited with her mother, who was overjoyed to learn that her daughter, who she thought was dead, was actually alive and well. :)

Arrest of the Lowlife Scumbags

And as if this story couldn't get any better, the authorities have also arrested the two lowlife scumbags, 58-year-old Phillip Garrido and his 54-year-old wife Nancy Garrido, who are suspected of being the kidnappers.

According to Yahoo! News, "Phillip Garrido is also being held for investigation of rape by force, lewd and lascivious acts with a minor and sexual penetration, said Jimmie Lee, a spokesman for the Contra Costa Sheriff's Department.

Phillip Garrido has a conviction for rape by force or fear, and was paroled from a Nevada state prison in 1999, according to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation."

Apparently, California corrections officials called Phillip Garrido in for questioning on Wednesday after they received a report that he had been seen with two small children at the University of California in Berkeley. When he arrived, he was accompanied by two children and two adult women.

According to Yahoo! News: "The diligent questioning and follow-up by the parolee's agent of record led to Garrido revealing his kidnapping of the adult female," the department said in a statement. "It was further revealed by Garrido that she was Jaycee Lee Dugard, and that the children were his."

Update: Law enforcement officials now believe that Jaycee Lee Dugard was kept in a shed and used a sex slave for Phillip Garrido and his wife Nancy Garrido. Assholes. Jaycee apparently became pregnant several times during her captivity and had at least two children. Those children made Garrido's parole officer suspicious, which led to his arrest.

Let's just hope that these two worthless mofos are behind bars for the rest of their lives!

Dominos Missed Their Wakeup Call!

Domino's Missed Their Wakeup Call!

So in my last post, I wrote about the "Disgusting Dominos People Video." You know, the Dominos Youtube video that's totally gone viral - much to the dismay of Domino's execs and shareholders (not to mention, pizza fetishists) everywhere.

Well, here's the "as promised" follow-up blog post to this recent Donimos food nightmare.

Long story short, here's what happened:

1. Two fukwits record themselves (on video) tampering (supposedly) with Dominos food orders.
2. Said fukwits post said video to YouTube.
3. Said video ignites total shitstorm and PR nightmare for Dominos.
4. Dominos responds via lameass and excruciatingly boring YouTube video.
5. Natalie Portman asks me to marry her.

NOTE: Yes, I am aware that it should be "Domino's." But for the sake of SEO, I'm using the more common spelling (err, misspelling), "Dominos." Jeez, I need to be able to get at least some visitors to this shitcake crapblog somehow! :P

And no, I did not say "Yes" to Natalie. -Still dealing with some major male vs. female role identification issues. :P

Anyway, here's the Donimo's video response to the incident...

Disgusting Dominos People
Domino's Responds

First of all, my response: Once this hit "teh internets," there was no way I could keep from commenting on YouTube. My comment to Domono's and their response video was pretty much as follows:

LOL, if you've ever worked a restaurant or fast food joint, you know that this is NOT an "isolated incident." :P

Btw, you shouldn't be reexamining your hiring practices, but rather, your PAYING and employee treatment practices!

Anyone with half a brain (and/or access to job performance studies and worker-related issues) knows that employees who are paid fairly and treated fairly do NOT do stuff like this.

But your industry is very well known for it...and there are several reasons why.

Here's What Else I Thought

1. Hey! Camera's over here! Hello, hello!
2. Isolated incident? LOL, break the pill in half the next time before you take it.
3. Felony warrants out for their arrest? Hmm, sounds a bit like overkill to me. But if that's the law, then I guess it should be followed. Still sounds a bit extreme for something that happens every day in restaurants all over the nation. Disgusting? Yes. A felony? Dunno.
4. "The store has been shut down and sanitized from top to bottom." Good to know...if that's actually what happened. In knowing the industry, that's quite unlikely. More like they just cleaned a couple of things.
5. Reexamining all of your hiring practices? LOL. Instead, you should be reexamining your paying and employee treatment practices! As I stated above, it's a well-known fact that emplyoees who are paid fairly and treated fairly do NOT act like this.
6. Obviously, you're wasting valuable money on your "auditors." Or, I guess that "day in and day out" didn't apply to that part of the nation. Either way, it's a FAILED system and it's time to wake up and address that.

Simpe fix: Pay your employees a decent wage, treat them fairly, and you won't have to deal with stuff like this.

7. "It sickens me, that the actions of two individuals could impact our great system." -Obviously NOT a great system then, eh? Let's see, just TWO people out of 125,000 workers in 60 different countries around the world had this effect?! Holy frosted nutcakes! Time to reexamine the system methinks.
8. Yes, you DO take "tremendous pride" in crafting delicious food, and we DO appreciate that.

Domino's Still Missing The Boat

But you're still totally missing the boat as to WHY this sorta thing happened to begin with. Solution: Listen to your workers. Pay a decent wage and treat your employees like they really matter! Once you do this, you won't have problems like these. Or at least they won't be so commonplace...as we all know they are.

Disgusting Dominos People Video

Disgusting Dominos People

Disgusting Dominos People - Here's the video that's quickly making its way across teh internets...virally. It shows a Dominos worker doing some rather "unsanitary" things to peoples' food. -You know, the ole booger, sneeze and fart thing. Yum, yum!

In case the video has been deleted by YouTube, I've supplied some alternate "Disgusting Dominos People" links below, as well as some other info. regarding this case...or, as I call it, "The Dirty Dominos Debacle."

The Disgusting Dominos People Video
Buggers, Farts...and Yeah

Dominos - Cheese and Peppers Up The Nose

Domino's Emplyoees Do Disgusting Things To The Food, Put It On YouTube.

The Consumerist: "Here are three clips of Christie Kristy and Michael, a couple of not-that-bright idiots getting themselves fired, and quite possible sued, by doing unsanitary things to customers' orders on camera while their manager sits in the back reading the newspaper. "Whiteair2" posted them to YouTube in the last day, and now everyone knows that Michael likes to put cheese and peppers up his nose."

Disgusting Dominos Employees Tracked Down

Apparently, two Consumerist readers (Amy Wilson and whyerhead) managed to track down (via some stellar-ass online sleuthing) the specific Donimo's location in which this booger-sneeze-fart-food incident took place, and alerted Domino's corporate offices. Good for them. Hopefully, Dominos will give them some free pizza and stuff. If not, then fuk Dominos forever.

Gross Dominos Videos Just a Prank

So, as more and more things come to light, the apparent "food defilers" say that this was all just a prank...which is why they posted it on YouTube in the first place. So was it? Who knows. All I can say is that I'm just glad that they didn't do any of the other MANY popular "fukking-with-your-food" things that take place every day in countless food establishments across the nation. :P

Stay Tuned, Bitchez!

For more on this, stay tuned! I'm just about to post on the dipshit Dominos corporate video response to all of this. LOL @ their acting like this is something sooo out of the ordinary. Corporate fukwits. :P

AIG Paying $165 Million In Bonuses = Outrageous!

A.I.G. Planning Huge Bonuses After $170 Billion Bailout

WASHINGTON — The American International Group (AIG), which has received more than $170 billion in taxpayer bailout money from the Treasury and Federal Reserve, plans to pay about $165 million in bonuses by Sunday to executives in the same business unit that brought the company to the brink of collapse last year.

Word of the bonuses last week stirred such deep consternation inside the Obama administration that Treasury Secretary Timothy F. Geithner told the firm they were unacceptable and demanded they be renegotiated, a senior administration official said. But the bonuses will go forward because lawyers said the firm was contractually obligated to pay them.

The payments to A.I.G.’s financial products unit are in addition to $121 million in previously scheduled bonuses for the company’s senior executives and 6,400 employees across the sprawling corporation. Mr. Geithner last week pressured A.I.G. to cut the $9.6 million going to the top 50 executives in half and tie the rest to performance. Continue to article

Obama: Corruption You Can Count On!

Crow: noun - a delicacy enjoyed by Bushbots...and Obamabots

Obama: Corruption You Can Count On!

Well, not only a week into his presidency and Obama has already chosen two tax dodgers to join his administration, waived the ethics rules HE initiated to stop the hiring of lobbyists (so he could hire some himself!), and tasted his first blood in civilian deaths (dead women and children) due to his continuing the Bush administration's policy of an expanded use of drones in Pakistan's tribal areas.

Yep, change you can count on all right!

Ethics Rules For Everyone...Except Us!

Just two days after President Obama introduced the new ethics rules that would "close the revolving door that lets lobbyists come into government freely" - rules that he himself heralded as the most sweeping ethics rules in America - he decider decided to toss out those ever-so-important rules...not once, but twice...

First, so he could nominate William Lynn (a lobbyist) for Deputy Secretary of Defense. And a second time, when Tim Geithner (the tax dodger Obama nominated for Secretary of the Treasury) named Mark Patterson, a former Goldman Sachs lobbyist, as his chief of staff. Patterson lobbied for Goldman Sachs up until April.

Hmm, interesting! Especially since this is the man who PROMISED during his presidential campaign that lobbyists "won’t find a job in my White House."

See for yourself. Here's a screenshot taken right from Barack Obama's website. It was important when he was running for president, but now it's just another broken promise. I guess some things in politics never change.

O RLY?

Now, I have no problem with bending the rules once in a while - if it's absolutely necessary. But in the case of Lynn, it's clearly not. This is typical Washington politics...the same old, same old.

But what's most upsetting is that this is a clear conflict of interests! You see, Lynn lobbied on behalf of major defense contractor Raytheon. And being the Deputy Secretary of Defense (the second-highest ranking official in the United States Department of Defense) paves the way for him to work very broadly on military issues.

Said Melanie Sloan, founder of the watchdog group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, "This is exactly the kind of thing that makes the American public suspicious of politicians. You say one thing and do another.”

Gee, it's as if nothing ever changes! Funny how once they "win" an election, their promises go right out the window. And yet, the American public - drowning in stupidity, brainwashed by the mass media and wearing rose-colored glasses blindly ignorant - falls for it, time and time again.

Hey America, this is your brain calling. I can't breathe while you're sitting on me!

Tax Dodgers R Us: The Obama Administration

That's right. Tax dodgers. Obama has already nominated not one, but TWO (Update: FOUR) tax dodgers...so far. Tom Daschle (nominated for Health and Human Services Secretary) and Tim Geithner (nominated as Secretary of the Treasury) were his picks. Both of them quickly filed amended tax returns after they were nominated. Surprise, surprise.

Daschle reportedly paid $128,203 in back taxes and $11,964 in interest, while Geithner reportedly paid $34,023 in back taxes and $8,679 in interest.

Awesome. So now we'll have someone (Geithner) in charge of the United States Department of Treasury and overseeing the IRS who couldn't even figure out how to fucking use Turbo Tax correctly!

Update: Now there's another one! Hilda Solis. A Senate committee abruptly called off a session to consider Obama's choice of Hilda Solis (nominated to be labor secretary) after learning that her husband has just paid about $6,400 to settle tax liens - some that were on file for as long as 16 years.

Update #2: Now there's a fourth one! Holy crap. I didn't think it was possible...but is it. As of today (March 2, 2009), the fourth tax dodger to be nominated by Obama has surfaced. This time, it's Ron Kirk, Obama's choice to be U.S. trade representative. Ron Kirk owes an estimated $10,000 in back taxes. Yep, change you can count on!

At this point, I think it's safe to say that Obama has extremely poor judgment. I worried about this early on -- due to his total lack of experience and all -- but now it's confirmed. This guy simply doesn't have a clue about what he's doing. Four tax dodgers nominated thus far. Amazing. I sincerely fear for where this country is headed. Ron Paul, we need you now more than ever!

Obama: No Change So Far!

Now, I know the guy is new, so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. I want him to succeed, NOT fail. It's no secret that we're waaay up shit's crick without a paddle right now, and something has to change. Or else!

But sadly, all I've seen so far while he's been in office is quite simply more of the same. The same old Washington rhetoric, the same old Washington bullshit empty promises, and the same old rules that apply to everyone else but themselves.

The fact is, Obama has done nothing thus far but surround himself with Washington insiders, Washington elites, and people who are either too crooked to pay their taxes honestly, or too damn stupid to know how to do so in the first place. Heck of a job there, Brownie Obama! Not a good start.

Obama's Dirty Politics - "Hoping" For A Change

Honestly, I'm hoping for a change...but I'm not stupid enough to hold my breath and wait for one. Truth is, I don't expect one. I mean, we're talking about a guy who first made his way into politics by playing dirty. Yes, dirty. Obama played dirty.

In his 1996 run for the Illinois Senate, he challenged his opponents' petitions for office on "technicalities." Basically, if the names on the petitions were printed, instead of being signed "in cursive" writing, he (and his cadre of lawyers) had them declared invalid. And so, he ran unopposed...and won, of course.

Yep, the man who "claims" to believe in giving the people the power of choice simply took it away from them. He got his political start by registering thousands of voters, and by promising them a say in politics. But in the end, he made absolutely sure they had no say - that they only had ONE choice...him.

How sad, and how very pathetic. I definitely feel bad for all those thousands of people whose signatures names didn't mean jack shit. The founding fathers must certainly be rolling in their graves.

Tastes Like Chicken!

So at this point, I'm not expecting anything different from the new Obama administration. Just more of the same...corruption, wasted spending (more than ever since they're Democrats) and of course, war mongering. Oh yeah, and plenty of socialism for the rich.

Which is why I'm just gonna put this here. There are millions of them available nationwide...so there will be plenty to go around when the time comes for all the mindless Obamabots to eat some. I fear it'll be soon, but I HOPE it'll be never.

Here's your change, Bitches! Enjoy!

John McCain's Concession Speech Video - Plus Ron Paul

Since I posted the video and transcript of Obama's acceptance speech, I also wanted to post John McCain's concession speech as well. McCain conceded the presidential race to Barack Obama and stated that the Democrat has achieved a "great thing for himself and for his country."

Personally, I think this was one of McCain's best speeches. Perhaps, if he had spoken from the heart like this all along throughout the campaign, the nation would have embraced him fully, and this speech never would have taken place. Who knows.

And here's Ron Paul. Proving once again that he's the only one in Washington who really has a clue. Undoubtedly, the GOP is kicking itself now for their mistreatment of him during the primaries.

First, they tried to defeat him by paying people to run against him. When that failed, they marginalized him. And when that failed, they made false accusations against him, many times over.

Lastly, came the mistreatment during the Republican National Convention. Whenever Ron Paul delegates approached the microphones to speak, the microphones were cut off and security was called to remove them from the premises. Ron Paul delegates were shut out of the platform talks, as well as every other meaningful discussion.

In my opinion, the GOP got what it deserved for its poisonous deeds. They screwed the pooch big time on this one. A Ron Paul/Barack Obama race would have most likely sealed the deal for Republicans, especially since the economy - Ron Paul's specialty - is what pushed Obama so far ahead of McCain in recent weeks.

Oh, and not to mention that Obama was the second choice for most Ron Paul supporters. Bottom line, the Republican Party had a great and very special opportunity in Ron Paul...but they rejected it. And now, the American people have rejected them.

OBAMA: Hello, Chicago.

If there is anyone out there who still doubts that America is a place where all things are possible, who still wonders if the dream of our founders is alive in our time, who still questions the power of our democracy, tonight is your answer.

It's the answer told by lines that stretched around schools and churches in numbers this nation has never seen, by people who waited three hours and four hours, many for the first time in their lives, because they believed that this time must be different, that their voices could be that difference.

It's the answer spoken by young and old, rich and poor, Democrat and Republican, black, white, Hispanic, Asian, Native American, gay, straight, disabled and not disabled. Americans who sent a message to the world that we have never been just a collection of individuals or a collection of red states and blue states.

We are, and always will be, the United States of America.

It's the answer that led those who've been told for so long by so many to be cynical and fearful and doubtful about what we can achieve to put their hands on the arc of history and bend it once more toward the hope of a better day.

It's been a long time coming, but tonight, because of what we did on this date in this election at this defining moment change has come to America.

A little bit earlier this evening, I received an extraordinarily gracious call from Senator McCain.

Senator McCain fought long and hard in this campaign. And he's fought even longer and harder for the country that he loves. He has endured sacrifices for America that most of us cannot begin to imagine. We are better off for the service rendered by this brave and selfless leader.

I congratulate him; I congratulate Governor Palin for all that they've achieved. And I look forward to working with them to renew this nation's promise in the months ahead.

I want to thank my partner in this journey, a man who campaigned from his heart, and spoke for the men and women he grew up with on the streets of Scranton and rode with on the train home to Delaware, the vice president-elect of the United States, Joe Biden.

And I would not be standing here tonight without the unyielding support of my best friend for the last 16 years - the rock of our family, the love of my life, the nation's next first lady, Michelle Obama.

Sasha and Malia, I love you both more than you can imagine. And you have earned the new puppy that's coming with us to the new White House.

And while she's no longer with us, I know my grandmother's watching, along with the family that made me who I am. I miss them tonight. I know that my debt to them is beyond measure.

To my sister Maya, my sister Alma, all my other brothers and sisters, thank you so much for all the support that you've given me. I am grateful to them.

And to my campaign manager, David Plouffe, the unsung hero of this campaign, who built the best - the best political campaign, I think, in the history of the United States of America. To my chief strategist David Axelrod, who's been a partner with me every step of the way. To the best campaign team ever assembled in the history of politics, you made this happen, and I am forever grateful for what you've sacrificed to get it done.

But above all, I will never forget who this victory truly belongs to. It belongs to you. It belongs to you.

I was never the likeliest candidate for this office. We didn't start with much money or many endorsements. Our campaign was not hatched in the halls of Washington. It began in the backyards of Des Moines and the living rooms of Concord and the front porches of Charleston. It was built by working men and women who dug into what little savings they had to give $5 and $10 and $20 to the cause.

It grew strength from the young people who rejected the myth of their generation's apathy who left their homes and their families for jobs that offered little pay and less sleep.

It drew strength from the not-so-young people who braved the bitter cold and scorching heat to knock on doors of perfect strangers, and from the millions of Americans who volunteered and organized and proved that more than two centuries later a government of the people, by the people, and for the people has not perished from the Earth. This is your victory.

And I know you didn't do this just to win an election. And I know you didn't do it for me. You did it because you understand the enormity of the task that lies ahead. For even as we celebrate tonight, we know the challenges that tomorrow will bring are the greatest of our lifetime - two wars, a planet in peril, the worst financial crisis in a century.

Even as we stand here tonight, we know there are brave Americans waking up in the deserts of Iraq and the mountains of Afghanistan to risk their lives for us.

There are mothers and fathers who will lie awake after the children fall asleep and wonder how they'll make the mortgage, or pay their doctors' bills, or save enough for their child's college education.

There's new energy to harness, new jobs to be created, new schools to build, and threats to meet, alliances to repair. The road ahead will be long. Our climb will be steep. We may not get there in one year or even in one term. But, America, I have never been more hopeful than I am tonight that we will get there. I promise you, we as a people will get there.

AUDIENCE: Yes we can! Yes we can! Yes we can!

OBAMA: There will be setbacks and false starts. There are many who won't agree with every decision or policy I make as president. And we know the government can't solve every problem.

But I will always be honest with you about the challenges we face. I will listen to you, especially when we disagree. And, above all, I will ask you to join in the work of remaking this nation, the only way it's been done in America for 221 years - block by block, brick by brick, calloused hand by calloused hand.

What began 21 months ago in the depths of winter cannot end on this autumn night. This victory alone is not the change we seek. It is only the chance for us to make that change. And that cannot happen if we go back to the way things were. It can't happen without you, without a new spirit of service, a new spirit of sacrifice.

So let us summon a new spirit of patriotism, of responsibility, where each of us resolves to pitch in and work harder and look after not only ourselves but each other.

Let us remember that if this financial crisis taught us anything, it's that we cannot have a thriving Wall Street while Main Street suffers. In this country, we rise or fall as one nation, as one people. Let's resist the temptation to fall back on the same partisanship and pettiness and immaturity that has poisoned our politics for so long.

Let's remember that it was a man from this state who first carried the banner of the Republican Party to the White House, a party founded on the values of self-reliance and individual liberty and national unity.

Those are values that we all share. And while the Democratic Party has won a great victory tonight, we do so with a measure of humility and determination to heal the divides that have held back our progress.

As Lincoln said to a nation far more divided than ours, we are not enemies but friends. Though passion may have strained, it must not break our bonds of affection.

And to those Americans whose support I have yet to earn, I may not have won your vote tonight, but I hear your voices. I need your help. And I will be your president, too.

And to all those watching tonight from beyond our shores, from parliaments and palaces, to those who are huddled around radios in the forgotten corners of the world, our stories are singular, but our destiny is shared, and a new dawn of American leadership is at hand.

To those - to those who would tear the world down: We will defeat you. To those who seek peace and security: We support you. And to all those who have wondered if America's beacon still burns as bright: Tonight we proved once more that the true strength of our nation comes not from the might of our arms or the scale of our wealth, but from the enduring power of our ideals: democracy, liberty, opportunity and unyielding hope.

That's the true genius of America: that America can change. Our union can be perfected. What we've already achieved gives us hope for what we can and must achieve tomorrow.

This election had many firsts and many stories that will be told for generations. But one that's on my mind tonight's about a woman who cast her ballot in Atlanta. She's a lot like the millions of others who stood in line to make their voice heard in this election except for one thing: Ann Nixon Cooper is 106 years old.

She was born just a generation past slavery; a time when there were no cars on the road or planes in the sky; when someone like her couldn't vote for two reasons - because she was a woman and because of the color of her skin.

And tonight, I think about all that she's seen throughout her century in America - the heartache and the hope; the struggle and the progress; the times we were told that we can't, and the people who pressed on with that American creed: Yes we can.

At a time when womens' voices were silenced and their hopes dismissed, she lived to see them stand up and speak out and reach for the ballot. Yes we can.

When there was despair in the dust bowl and depression across the land, she saw a nation conquer fear itself with a New Deal, new jobs, a new sense of common purpose. Yes we can.

AUDIENCE: Yes we can.

OBAMA: When the bombs fell on our harbor and tyranny threatened the world, she was there to witness a generation rise to greatness and a democracy was saved. Yes we can.

AUDIENCE: Yes we can.

OBAMA: She was there for the buses in Montgomery, the hoses in Birmingham, a bridge in Selma, and a preacher from Atlanta who told a people that We Shall Overcome. Yes we can.

AUDIENCE: Yes we can.

OBAMA: A man touched down on the moon, a wall came down in Berlin, a world was connected by our own science and imagination.

And this year, in this election, she touched her finger to a screen, and cast her vote, because after 106 years in America, through the best of times and the darkest of hours, she knows how America can change.

Yes we can.

AUDIENCE: Yes we can.

OBAMA: America, we have come so far. We have seen so much. But there is so much more to do. So tonight, let us ask ourselves - if our children should live to see the next century; if my daughters should be so lucky to live as long as Ann Nixon Cooper, what change will they see? What progress will we have made?

This is our chance to answer that call. This is our moment.

This is our time, to put our people back to work and open doors of opportunity for our kids; to restore prosperity and promote the cause of peace; to reclaim the American dream and reaffirm that fundamental truth, that, out of many, we are one; that while we breathe, we hope. And where we are met with cynicism and doubts and those who tell us that we can't, we will respond with that timeless creed that sums up the spirit of a people: Yes, we can.

Thank you. God bless you. And may God bless the United States of America.

Black Panthers "Patrolling" Polling Places (Video)

Apparently, Black Panther members (in full uniform) are stationed at some 300 polling places in battleground states. The question is, are they trying to intimidate McCain voters? Judging by this video I just found on YouTube, I'd say it's very possible. What do you think?

The video shows two Black Panther members at a Philadelphia polling place, one of whom is carrying a nightstick, who were reportedly blocking the door. Eventually, the police came and made the one with the nightstick (the one who said, "I'm security." lol) leave the premises.

Black Panthers Outside Polling Places

Now, I'm neither for Obama nor McCain, but I can definitely see how this sort of behavior could scare some people away from voting. But not surprisingly, there's lots of other "funny stuff" happening on this election day as well. In Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, calls from "Democrats For Obama" are being made, informing voters about a fake change of polling location. Gee, how nice.

There are also multiple reports that a Virginia Beach polling location is understaffed, and that people are picking up paper ballots from the floor and casting multiple votes! And in Northern Virginia, it's been reported that "tens of thousands" of military absentee ballots might be missing. Wow, put your life on the line for your country and they'll still misplace your vote.

All this, and a whole slew of voting machines throughout the country that are either malfunctioning, or breaking down entirely. In Richmond, Virginia one precinct had five of its seven voting machines break down. This forced voters, who were frustrated from waiting in the rain, to fill out optical scan ballots instead. Five out of seven, eh? Hmm, sounds like it's time to use another voting machine manufacturer!

Yep, it looks to be another "interesting" presidential election in the Good Ole USA! At this point, I think it's safe to say that the election results will be contested by the losing party if the winner ends up winning by a narrow margin like in 2000.

Watch Online: Vice Presidential Debate - Joe Biden and Sarah Palin

In case you missed the 2008 vice presidential debate between Joe Biden, the senior United States Senator from Delaware, and Sarah Palin, the governor of Alaska, you can watch it online right here.

The 2008 vice presidential debate took place at Washington University in St. Louis on October 2, 2008. Total video length: 90 min 40 sec.

And in case you also happened to miss the 2008 presidential debate (or just want to watch it again) between John McCain, the senior United States Senator from Arizona, and Barack Obama, the junior United States Senator from Illinois, you can watch that one online here as well.

The 2008 presidential debate took place at the University of Mississippi on September 26th, 2008. The initial topic was supposed to be foreign policy, but with the recent economic collapses, McCain and Obama spent a good 45 minutes discussing (or should I say not discussing) the current U.S. economy and their supposed economic policies and plans. Total video length: 93 min 03 sec.

I haven't had a chance to watch the vice presidential debate yet (see update below), but I did watch the presidential debate in full. And let me just say that I was not impressed...at all. In fact, I'm even more worried and concerned for this country. Ron Paul was our only hope, but the media screwed the pooch on that one. Stupid bastards.

Update: I'm half way through it now and I want to gouge my eyes out with a pencil!

Date Rape Drug Found In Kids Toys

Gee, you think it's time for toy companies to stop doing business with China?! I mean, how much more needs to happen before the toy companies smarten up, act responsibly, and stop doing business with these jokers? I think this definitely falls under the category we know as GMAFB.

Friday Fun Canceled - Wal-Mart Sucks Instead

Well, I had originally planned to post a funny video here since it's Friday and Fridays are for fun, but that was until I came across this story:

Man Not Moving In Wal-Mart Standoff

"Once the dynamite goes in the ground, it's staying there."

Hmmm, then that would make Wal-Mart guilty of willing indifference (requiring not an intent to harm, but a failure to act appropriately in light of a known or obvious risk).

Story Update...

So what did Wal-Mart do? What every large corporation seemingly loves to do these days...they took the poor guy and his family to court. And now a judge has ordered him off of his OWN property!

Just before noon on Thursday a Marion County sheriff’s deputy served David and Penny McCarty with a civil summons on behalf of Wal-Mart and a restraining order from their own property.

A restraining order from your own property? Wow, isn't that nice. Is is just me or does this country get more and more full of shit every?!

Anyway, maybe later I'll post the funny stuff I had originally intended to post for Friday Fun. That is, if my blood pressure goes down. :P But right now I'm steaming. I normally don't rant on here (in fact, this is the only other time I have), but when it comes to stuff like this I have very little patience. And I just can't sit idly by and keep my mouth shut about it either.

Steve Jobs Apologizes To iPhone Customers - Says iSorry!

The Apple iPhone iSorry

So what happens when you charge people $599 for the most advanced iPhone model, then unexpectedly slash the price by $200 in an effort to boost holiday sales? You have to say iSorry!

After receiving hundreds of email complaints, Apple CEO Steve Jobs wrote a letter acknowledging that they upset customers by cutting the price of the iPhone's 8-gigabyte model from $599 to $399, and apologized for disappointing them.

Apple also agreed to offer every iPhone customer who purchased an iPhone from Apple or AT&T, and who isn't receiving a rebate or any other consideration, a $100 store credit towards the purchase of any product at an Apple Retail Store or the Apple Online Store.

While this may not be the perfect solution, at least it's something of considerable value. And it goes to show that if you're not happy with something it's worth taking the time to contact the company to let them know how you feel. Remember, the squeaky wheel always gets the grease!
